Faith Is God's Greatest Gift To Man

The Bible states that “without faith it is impossible to please [God]” (Heb. 11:6). This is an incredible statement—yet, it is in the Bible!

Take it for exactly what it says. Just think! Anything a person does, in attempting to be Christian, means absolutely nothing, if he lacks faith. For without faith, he has no hope—no possibility of pleasing God.

How To Fully Rely On God

When we realize that God has all power to do anything he wants, and that he always uses it for the good of humanity, then we can have absolute confidence that we are in good hands. He has both the ability and the stated purpose of working all things, including even our rebellion, hatred and betrayal against him and one another, toward our salvation. He is completely trustworthy—worthy of our trust.

A spiritual director is like a life coach who gently guides you along the path of your unique spiritual journey and helps you experience the revelation of Christ within. As Dr. Bruce Demarest defines it, "Spiritual direction refers to the ministry of soul care in which a gifted and experienced Christian helps another person to grow in relationship with and obedience to God by following the example of Jesus Christ."

Distraught, Lawrence pointed and shouted, "Dad, you're not going to die today."
